BornPrettyStore 春の歌 (Harunouta) Nail Art Plates Review

Press Sample

Woohoo, I’m back again!

And this time, I’ve got two 5.5 cm round nail art plates to review from BornPrettyStore.

Let’s get into it, click below to keep reading and see the plates!

This first plate may be one of my favorites of all time.  I love peacocks, so I am all for peacock nail art (whether it be stamping plates, water decals, you name it).  When I saw this plate, I just knew I had to have it.  Behold:

It is just so cool.  I wish there was a way to transfer all of the feathers to my nails, but of course the image is too huge for that.  This plate is 春の歌-01 or item # 29541 and retails for $1.99 USD.

I used a variety of polishes to stamp with this plate, and none of them had any trouble.  The design was etched perfectly and picked up crisply every single time.  I have really been impressed with the quality of plates that Born Pretty has been carrying for some time now.  Perhaps, I just remember the olden days when stamping was a new thing and very difficult to accomplish.  Nowadays, most plates don’t give me any issue!

I absolutely love how this turned out.  The peacock is reverse stamped directly onto my nail (no extra layers of topcoat), and the rose is just regularly stamped with two separate nail polishes.  Like I mentioned before, I had zero issue with the quality, you can see for yourself that every image is clear and precise.

I’m not sure if the two images really compliment eachother, but I love them both separately so I have grown to love them together.  Either way, it is possible to find a use for both the peacock and the rose if you don’t feel like combining them.

This isn’t my favorite macro of all time, but I wanted to show everyone the crisp detail of the image, especially in the feathers.  Definitely two thumbs up from me.

Moving right along- next up is a plate with a ton of super cool fabric patterns on it.

Plaids, hounds-tooth, some Greek meander, and a little Aztec design, count me in!  I actually picked this plate because of the hounds-tooth (I’ve seen nail vinyls with hounds-tooth designs but I don’t love using vinyls and I thought a stamp would be easier), but I actually used the plaid!  Definitely a fun plate for some fall/winter sweater-y nails or when you are feeling inspired by fashion.

This plate is 春の歌-09 or item #29549 and retails for $0.99 USD.

Of course I went for the obvious route and had to do some lumberjack flannel.  How…inspired *sarcasm*.

Top off your design with matte top coat and boom! flannel nails are yours.  Simple and cute if you ask me.

Again, the quality was spot on – I had no issue transferring the image to my nails.  Granted, when you try to stamp straight lines on a curved nail things tend to get a little wonky – that’s my fault, and not the fault of the image.

Yay for top coat shrinkage!

And here is a closer look!  I am definitely impressed with the quality.  And while I did not actually photograph any of the other designs on my nails – I tested them out and did not have any difficulty picking up or transferring from any other part of the plate.

The Verdict: My verdict today is going to be short and sweet.  These plates are a very affordable price and are the quality you can really start to expect from Born Pretty Store plates.  The peacock design is gorgeous and the styling of the plate is unique to my collection.  The pattern plate has given me plenty ideas for backdrops for other art in the future – and I look forward to using the hounds-tooth.  For this price, the quality can’t be beat!
